This faux bamboo steel floor lamp by Tallboy Interiors is inspired by the ever present use of bamboo and faux bamboo throughout history for decorative interior pieces. Made from forged steel bar and crafted in Yorkshire by Sam - the incredible blacksmith.
The way Sam forges the steel on this piece generates a natural patina and colour that make this lamp extremely impressive.
The design has been taken as a literal representation of how one would make a lamp from actual bamboo right down to the wrapped twine detail around the legs.
Sam is an artist and has crafted this piece so realistically which is even more impressive in the flesh.
