Tamasine Osher
Tamasine Osher is a British designer known for creating hand-made furniture and lighting that evokes emotion and sparks meaningful connection. Her work focuses on timeless, sculptural forms that celebrate the natural beauty of sustainable local materials, especially British wood sourced in collaboration with tree surgeons from fallen trees that would otherwise go to waste.
Drawing inspiration from both the natural world and architectural form, Tamasine’s designs often explore the hidden beauty of ageing, decay, and wilderness. She juxtaposes organic and industrial materials in unexpected ways, bringing to light the tensions and harmonies that arise when nature and structure collide.
Every design is an evolving conversation between concept, material, and process. Tamasine is involved in every stage of production — often undertaking the making herself or collaborating closely with a trusted network of UK-based craftspeople. The unpredictable nature of wood and other raw materials demands sensitivity and spontaneity, with decisions made in real-time to honour both the material and the design vision.
This hands-on approach ensures that each piece bears the mark of its making: expressive, contemporary, and grounded in both place and purpose.
